Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information MyPresence collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using MyPresence you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information we collect
We collect information in the following ways:
- Account information. When you create an account we receive your name, email address, and authentication identifiers from our sign-in provider (Google via Clerk).
- Profile content. Any information you add to your MyPresence page — headline, bio, experience, education, projects, links, photos, metrics, FAQs, offices, certificates, and similar fields — is stored so that we can display it on your public page.
- Payment information. Subscription payments are processed by our payment provider (Razorpay). We receive the transaction identifier, amount, status, and billing metadata, but we do not store full card numbers or banking credentials on our servers.
- Usage data. We log basic request metadata — IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and timestamps — to operate the service, diagnose problems, and prevent abuse.
- Cookies. We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
2. How we use your information
- To create and operate your MyPresence account.
- To publish and serve your public profile page.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions.
- To send transactional messages (sign-in verification, receipts, account notices).
- To maintain security, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms.
- To improve the service and troubleshoot issues.
3. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that help us run MyPresence — including hosting (Cloudflare), authentication (Clerk), payments (Razorpay), and storage (Cloudflare R2) — under contractual obligations to protect your data.
- The public — information you choose to add to your profile page is published at your chosen URL and is visible to anyone who visits it.
- Legal and safety — where required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MyPresence, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers — if MyPresence is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Data retention
We retain your account and profile data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account we remove your profile content within 30 days, subject to limited retention required for legal, accounting, or security purposes.
5. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise most of these rights directly from your dashboard. For other requests, contact us at the address below.
6. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logging — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children’s privacy
MyPresence is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction) and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
8. International transfers
MyPresence operates globally. Your information may be processed in countries outside your own, where data-protection laws may differ. We rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) where required.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice on the site before the changes take effect.
